UV-Vis Spectrophotometer Dip Probes

The S.I. Photonics fiber optic dip probe is one of the most popular accessories for use with the 400 Series UV/Vis Spectrophotometers. The fiber optic dip probe eliminates the need for traditional cuvettes for liquid measurements. The probe can be immersed in a beaker, water bath, enclosed pipe or any suitable vessel containing sample. Typically only a few milliliters of sample are required for analysis.

The dip probe is fully UV compatible and offers excellent UV transmission down to 190 nm and therefore eliminates the need for fragile quartz cuvettes.

Virtually "student proof", the rugged, durable stainless steel design makes our dip probe a popular option for industrial and university settings.

In addition to our Single Lamp Dip Probe, S.I. Photonics also offers an exclusive Dual Lamp Dip Probe. Unlike other dip probes that only accommodate a single illumination source, our dual lamp dip probe is optimized for two discrete illumination sources for maximum light throughput.

The 1.0 cm path length probe is offered as an optional sampling accessory with the purchase of any new 400 Series instrument. Our dip probes can also be configured with different path lengths and composition for maximum solvent compatibility. Common pathlengths include 10mm, 5mm and 0.2mm options.
